Bean Sprout Recipes

A few weeks ago I posted some information about “sprouting”, growing your own sprouts for cooking, salads, etc. I’ve have quite a few questions since then, so I wanted to give you an update.

I have three varieties of sprouts that I’m using. I purchased all of them from The reason I use the “smile” before the is that a portion of every purchase we make automatically goes to whatever charity or non-profit I would like it to go to. In our case, we chose the Teller County Animal Shelter. It’s a “no kill” shelter and we want to support them. If you choose to use, you can set it up for the charity of your choice.

I use mung beans and two other mixes. One of the mixes is a salad variety and we really like it. It has several different seeds in it and provides a nice extra flavor in our salads. The other mix is a variety of beans/peas and is good to add to almost anything, such as salads, soups, stir fry, etc. Mung beans, however, are a good staple to have for a large variety of recipes and add-ons for everything you make.
