Fresh as Spring

pillows2tableAre you tired of winter and ready for something new and fresh in your home? Don’t feel like doing a major remodel and also don’t have a lot of money to spend? Well, you are sooo in luck!

You don’t have to spend a lot of time or money to freshen things up and make your house feel like it’s new. Maybe not new, but certainly renewed. How can you do that? It’s simple! Instead of thinking that you have to do something major, think in terms of just changing a few spring2accessories, doing a little bit of painting, updating a couple of wadoordecorll or door decorations, and adding some colorful springtime flowers or plants.

Throw pillows are easy to cover, so find some fabric that you like and slip-cover your pillows for a few months. It will be easy to take off the covers when fall comes and have your original pillows back.

Change your dark, heavy bedspread to a lighter weight and color. What about your shower curtains? Do you use the same ones in the spring and summer as you do in the fall and winter? I like to pillows1switch mine out twice a year. In thspring5e summer I prefer light colors, while in the fall and winter I like a warmer and heavier look.

Area rugs in your house? They’re easy to switch out for the seasons and it makes a huge impact on your room’s appearance. Paint your entry door, get rid of things that look heavy, and add some plants or flowers.

While you’spring4re making changes, don’t forget your dining table. Get rid of heavy linens and change to something light and airy. Pretty, colorful cloth napkins are really nice and are an easy change that doesn’t take much time at all. You can make your own, too, so they can be very inexpensive.

Take a look around your house and decide what you can do to spread a little springtime cheer in your home.I’ll bet that you’ll be surprised at how easy and inexpensive it can be and what a difference it makes!
